Straight Router Bits for electro-milling machine
What is meant when we talk about straight carbide cutters (HM) or steel (SP)?
Straight metal or steel cutters are all those cutters that have the vertical or horizontal part of the cutting edge, which is straight.
The straight cutting edge, in turn, can be slightly inclined (oblique) and is used to work much more smoothly the wood allowing your cutter to "eat" differently than the other thousand cutters on the market, making your milled material smoother and without a shadow of a doubt with many fewer burns.
This last type of cutting edge, called "axial cutting edge", is the only one we have adopted in our cutters, a fixed point for a robust Fraiser
How do I recognize HM carbide carbide and SP steel carbide?
The straight carbide cutters, also called drills in widia - HM, appear immediately to the eye for their brazed brazed plate, i. e. that the sharp part of the cutter (recognizable because it is different in colour from the body) is welded to the steel body.
On the other hand, straight cutters made of SP steel have the cutting edge of the same material as the tool body and it can be recognized not only by the lack of welding on the cutting edge, but also by the lower weight of the cutter itself.
If you want to go deeper into the topic click here and you will open an article that I wrote in the blog where I talk about how to choose a cutter and, inside, there are also detailed explanations of the types of material.
How are they used?
FR. 101 - Cutting cutters with bearing - Carbide
It is used for classic edge trimming, to clean the wood and make it straight. It is also used to "copy the wood", as the bearing can easily follow a guide (fixed or with the template FR). OX) (link)
FR. 102/FR. 103/FR. 106 - Straight cutting edge cutters for channels - Short series and long series - Carbide
They are used to make channels in wood, also called the "cutters to cut wood" by the veteran craftsmen of the trade. The wood is dug out of the cutter and the entrance can be either from the side or directly from above following technical details (it is explained well in the free guide).
FR. 104 - Carbide mortar cutter - carbide
As in straight cutting cutters for canals, even with this cutter it is possible to make a canal or cut the wood, the only difference is that it has a larger diameter and is particularly suitable for making "seats", that is to say, levelling the lego to create solid and smooth bases.
FR. 105 - Stepping cutter - carbide
Usually used to quickly create door stops (i. e. the furniture doors, the part that opens) and for everything you can do with a straight cutter and its bearing (copy wood, step interlocking and many others).
FR. 108/FR. 109 - Mortar milling cutter with left and right chip breakers - super resistant steel
They are milling cutters for mortar, so always to make wooden ducts, hinge seats and flatten the wood, made of steel (hence they last less than widiam, losing the "edge" of the cutting edge more easily) and are designed to be mounted on combined machines with 16 or 13 mm elastic clamp connection.
FR. 110 - HW bur for LAMELLO interlocking tool - carbide
It is a straight cutter usually mounted on horizontal milling machines and is used to perform semi-circular "excavations" in the wood and then insert a tab, also called biscuit, useful for attaching it to another piece with the same semicircle.
FR. 111 - HW cutter for adjustable joints - carbide
Cutter for moulder moulder or for large pantographs, used to perform various excavations in the wood horizontally. Adjustable by means of steel "rings", which are thicknesses that are placed in the middle of the cutter, it is possible to increase or reduce the thickness to be cut.
FR. 112 - Disk cutter for small joints - Carbide
Cutter for insertion on FR. 954 spindles, is a small disc cutter suitable for grooves and grooves (a horizontal milled material in the wood, a small spindle moulder with your pantograph)
1 - Super resistant steel ball bearing, radial with a single row of balls able to guarantee smooth and smooth running without jamming in every machining operation.
2 - BLK coating, unlike painting, the coating is the result of heat treatment and ultrasound, ensures a better robustness and a long lasting smoothness, specifically for wood.
3 - Mirror finish, for a sharpened cutting edge with special degrees, allowing a 3 times longer "thread" duration than almost all other sharpenings, and axial angle, favouring a continuous contact with the wood during processing for a clean and unbreaked machining.
4 - Anti-kickback design, for a greater sense of safety during tool feed, able to make you mill in complete peace of mind.
5 - Super-resistant and sharp tungsten carbide body in certified micro-grain for maximum robustness and durability of your milled material
The straight cutter in metal and steel is a cutter suitable for everyday use and is very versatile thanks to its low cost and versatility
A sturdy straight steel and carbide Fraiser has a minimum durability of 3 times more than an economical alternative thanks to our certified materials and custom treatment
